Please update the essay log in your ILP on Moodle, using the feedback to come up with a target. I will also take in the Harmony Comparison Grids from last week that I forgot about.
No homework this week.
Now due in by the end of Friday 24th October
Write a piece for string quartet in which one note is sustained in the either the second violin or viola throughout. You need to show some specific things you have stolen from the Purcell and Cornelius using the notes features of Sibelius (go to the Review tab). The piece should:
- be in ternary form
- use some texture ideas from the Purcell
- use some chord ideas from the Cornelius
- use a variety of chords both consonant and dissonant that fit with your note
I recommend that you use a dominant pedal.
