Information for September 2023

PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING ANY BOOKING

Most of our lessons are delivered by and booked through Dudley Performing Arts and are heavily subsidised. If you want to take advantage of these, you should book them as soon as possible. DPA lessons will start in the half term after they are booked (this is NOT true for piano and voice, which can be booked and started at any point).

Rates for all students other than those taking A Level Music

• 20-minute lessons – £12.25 per lesson
• 30-minute lessons – £21.75 per lesson

Rate for students taking A Level Music at King Ed’s:

• 30-minute lessons – £5.25 per lesson (this rate is not available for students on the Music Technology course unless they are also taking Music A Level)

For students wanting lessons on voice or piano, these will be booked directly with college and you will be invoiced by college for your lessons. DPA lessons are booked and paid for in advance via their own system. These different systems will yield slightly different instalment payments but the overall cost per lesson is the same.

If you are taking A level music OR if you are wanting lessons on VOICE or PIANO you should NOT book using this link but first email tom.pankhurst@kedst.ac.uk.

For all other students. If you are NOT an A level music students and you want lessons on all instruments OTHER than voice or piano you should go to the DPA Music Lessons in Schools page and follow the instructions. Note that we will help to timetable your lessons in college during the college day but that your lesson contract is not with college but with DPA.

Start of teaching

Teaching will start in the week beginning Monday 11th September. Your teacher will propose a teaching time and/or arrange to meet you in college to organise the timetable. Once you have registered PLEASE KEEP CHECKING YOUR EMAILS!
