Next week we will have a timed essays on the Bach and the Williams. As part of your preparations, please complete essay planners on the following questions:

  1. How is the Bach typical of Lutheran Church music of the late Baroque.
  2.  Discuss how Bach conveys the meaning of his text.

Instrumental
Haydn: make a bullet point list or mind map of texture and instrumentation.

All points must include examples with bar numbers. Make sure you highlight the contrast in texture between sections and aim to give at least 10 distinct features
