On Tuesday next week I will take in your Starting Points booklets to mark everything up to Exercise 13B
Please submit bars 9-18 of the Starting Points Quartet composition exercise as a Sibelius file on AS Moodle by the end of WEDNESDAY (under Weekly Submissions – attach the Sibelius file and make sure you click on submit when you are done)

Vocal set works
Create a Coggle for Locus Iste that we started in class:
- Use this Coggle Template (or adapt the one you started). You will need a Google/Gmail account to do this
- Look at the GSMIRTH Short Guide in your handbooks to help you
- You must add at least two features of the music per category
- Either email me a PDF of your Coggle before the lesson or bring a print-off to hand in
- You will find performances of Bruckner’s Locus Iste on Youtube

EITHER using the mini essay completed in July OR starting afresh, write a detailed report about use of harmony in Haydn’s Joke quartet. Start with the sentence ‘Like the Corelli, the harmony in Haydn’s Joke quartet is mainly diatonic and functional but with some occasional dissonance’.

Finish the mini composition based only on the note D. Your piece must be in Ternary form, last around 1 minute and should be presented a detailed Sibelius score.

- Short History of Music Follow-up task (due on Monday for G group and Tuesday for F Group)
- Create a Google account if you do not already have one
- Follow the http://www.alevelmusic.com blog (top of this page)
- Make sure you have all relevant dates from your handbook in your diaries and those of your parents/guardians
- Sign up for some CBSO concerts across the year
- Make sure you have a folder and at least 5 dividers just for music
- Complete your Unit 1 Initial Proposals form
